The curriculum uses the prescribed textbook स्पर्श भाग – 2 and is divided across Three Periodic Tests (10 marks each, reduced to 5) and an Annual Examination of 40 marks.

Pay special attention to the grammar portions (like Nouns, Pronouns, Gender, Number, and Adverbs) as these will always be asked in a Multiple Choice Question (MCQ/VSA) format. Also, remember that your First Periodic Test is an Assignment, so focus on neatness and clear handwriting.
The Annual Examination is out of 40 marks. The paper is highly segmented. Writing skills (Letter writing, Essay writing, and Unseen Passage) hold a significant 11 marks combined. Practice your formal and informal letter formats carefully. For the literature section, ensure you practice writing clear summaries (सारांश) and context-based explanations (सप्रसंग व्याख्या), as these carry 4 marks each.
